Shikamaru's eyes widened as he was suddenly thrown to the wall, the immense force sending a shiver into his back and forcing wind from his lungs. He was told to shut up, sensing a flaring black-orange in Deidei's aura as he was flung from the wall to the ground and injured multiple times by the ballistic female before she had stormed off. Everything flashed black momentarily before he was offered help standing. He took it, wobbly at first, but regained balance. "Thanks," he said quickly, rubbing the back of his neck. He watched Deidei vanish around the corner, Ro trying to figure out what was wrong, though failing. Shikamaru took after her, feeling he needed to apologize. He was stopped by Kisame, who was giving him the worst look on the planet. "Why in the FUCK did you say that? Stupid brat!" shouted Kisame. Shikamaru frowned at him. "You're aura is a shade off of navy blue." he growled, "you were gonna take advantage of a young girl. You sicko." Kisame was awestruck that Shikamaru was...accurate. The Nara pushed past him and took after Deidei, calling her name in the distance.

Deidei paused, hearing her voice and looking back to find the Nara coming after her. "GO DIE!" she shouted, ducking down so he wouldn't see her, leaning against the short wall, just the very tip of her high ponytail sticking up. Reaching up, she ripped the hair tie from her hair, wincing as some hair came with it and the rest of the golden locks cascaded around her shoulders, shading her face as she tried to calm her tears. Now that her mind was begining to clear she could tell that SHikamaru had probably saved her from getting hurt, but did he have to do it like that? She was hurt as it was, because of him this time.
Gaara glared at the ex-mist nin. "Kisame Hoshigaki. Leave." he stated simply, sand begining to swarmaround the blue man. He was going to give him the option of leaving without a fight her would lose. The criminal had more alchohal in his body then the Kazekage, which meant the redhed had better reflexes right now.

The comment that Deidei wanted Shikamaru to die struck him a tad. Her aura was flaring gray now, with specs of red and navy blue. "Deidei-chan..." he called out again, approaching the spot he had last spotted her. "Come out please, I want to talk to you. I want to tell you that I'm...sorry for being so harsh." he explained. though by now, he knew she didn't care. "Kisame was going to hurt you. I can't watch a fellow shinobi get taken advantage of like that. It's not right." After a moment of silence, he turned on his heel and headed toward the apartment districts. "It was only my intention to try and make your life a little more meaningful." he said quietly before materializing into the shadows. He knew Deidei needed some time to think now.
Kisame winced at the shinobi, and his sand. "What're you gonna do about it, pipsquea--AUGH...!" Kisame was interrupted by a sharp strike to the back of his neck. He fell to the floor, now unconscious, to reveal that Ro had struck him out. "God, I hate sharks..."

Deidei took a shuddering breath, sinking down lower and clutching her arms tightly. She was cold. Standing up after a moment she felt a raindrop hit her and she sighed, jumping down. "Shikamaru! Wait, un!" she called, reaching out a hand just as the rain started pouring. She could have sworn it wasn't supposed to rain until the day after. Her hair hung limply, and her clothes were tight as the rain soaked her quickly, it was hitting the Nara just as hard as she gazed where he had been, hoping he'd come back.
Gaara smirked. "Thanks." he said simply, his sand picking up the man and carting him away, they'd deal with him later, for now he'd drop him in the trash outside the club. It was where he belonged. Plus, deidei'd kill him if they took him into custody.

Shikamaru was deep in thought, listening to the harsh rain as it pattered down onto his skin, clothes and the ground below. "Wait, un!" he heard. He stopped and turned to see Deidei running toward him. He was slightly surprised, her aura had turned yellow, with pinkish spots. "Na, you're soaked." he stated, taking off his still semi-dry jacket (ultimately revealing his well-toned self) and handed it to her. "You're gonna get sick."

Deidei blushed some and wrapped the jacket around herself. "You said you wanted to talk, un." she whispered, well, more like spoke over the rain. The drops of water pelted down harder, a gust of wind lifting her hair and whipping it to the side without mercy. She reached up and smoothed it down, her blue gaze locked directly onto Shikamaru's dark one. She had no clue what she was feeling really, but he'd know. He red aura, he could tell what to do. She made as if to grab his hand but dropped hers instead, letting it fall to her side. "Let's get out of the rain, un."

Shikamaru noticed her aura go more to a red than just spots. His eyes winced momentarily, reading her, before he noticed her hand twitch toward him and drop back to the side. "Good idea," he said, leading Deidei toward a drier spot. the rain pattered harshly around them, under the large awning of Shikamaru's apartment complex. "Do you want to come in?" he asked, "I can make some tea or cocoa. Something warm." he offered.

Deidei looked around nerviously, as if she wasn't sure if she wanted to come in. "Uh.. sure, un." she said softly, her eyes at the ground. She still couldn't make out her feelings, but whatever they were, they were pulling her towards Shikamaru and she wasn't going to pull away until she knew she should. Her hand gripped her forarm tightly, stretching across the wet expanse of her tee as she waited for him to open the door.
God this was awkward.

Shikamaru unlocked the door before pushing in and stepping out oft the rain. He made way for Deidei to walk in and closed the door after she had. "I'll get started on some cocoa, I suppose." he said, shaking the water off of his hair and arms quickly before heading toward the kitchen.

Deidei stood awkwardly. She wasn't quite sure what to do or say, after al this was the boy she had gone out of her way to make sure everyone knew she hated him. Sighing some she ran her fingers through her hair, staring at the water darkened strands with intensity, her mind working quickly as she pulled off her shoes, it was common curtisy after all. After a moment of drip drying she stepped out of the foyer, following Shikamaru to where he was, hoping to not tread too much water on the floor for him to clean up. She wasn't that much of a bitch after all. She sat at one of the chairs with a slight bit of hesitance, watching him making the drinks patiently and silently.

He finished with the hot water and poured it into a large mug before adding the packed of cocoa and stirring it in. He brought the cocoa over to the table and set it in front of Deidei before taking a seat just diagonal from her. After about a moment of awkward silence he spoke up. "What is it exactly, that draws you to Kisame?" he asked, curious as to what she saw in such a terrible man.

Deidei winced, having not expected him to ask that straight out, She was silent a moment, gazing into the offered cup she cradled in her hands, the steam rising and carassing the air around it in swirls of opaque white. ". . . I guess it's the fact that he was the first person I was ever in love with, un. Someone who was so close to you, you can't let go of, even when you know it's over, un." she sighed, pushing her still soaked bangs back and for the first time in front of him revealing the right side of her face fully, smiling up at him sweetly and genuinly. "Even though I still kinda think your an asshole, thank you for what you did, un. It would have hurt more if I had let him take advantage of me like always, un." she said with a type of cheeriness that only someone who hurt inside could show. She didn't know why she had flipped out on him so much, any other person could have said that as she would have ignored them, but no, when he said it... it hurt more. That's the only way she could think of it. When he said something, the words weighed more on her, it would reach deeper into her then other people. When he said something it mattered. And she didn't know why, because she fucking hated him.

Shikamaru listened as she explained her feelings or the akatsuki member. During her rant, he saw many colors change in her aura--yellow, deep blue, red, then rest on crimson-orange. Crimson-orange...Subtle attraction, thought Shikamaru. But she hated him so much, why was that aura sifting around her all of a sudden? "Why is it that you hate me in the first place?" he asked, kind of throwing the question out there. Well, he had to find out, otherwise he'd never know how to reverse something like that. He certainly didn't want her to hate him after all...

Deidei shrugged. "When I first met you, I was freash out of the Akatsuki, where everyone has a specific job, where if you lay around doing nothing or complain you get things like this, un." she said, hiking up the shirt to show off a rather white scar on her ribs. "Pein's doing, he was in a foul mood, un. And after having those priorities literally beaten into you, you start to resent anyone who's care free without being punished like you were, un. It's nothing against you in particular, it's against how I was raised, taken out of you because you're the source of the cultural confusion, un." she explained, rather professionally actually. She was very critical on why she didn't get along with people, another Akatsuki gained habit. Shrugging she finally took a sip of the cooled cocoa, her smile some what faded as she thought. ". . . do you hate me, Shikamaru, un?" she asked after a moment of silence, her scar on her ribs sore from the weather.

Shikamaru cringed lightly at the scar. A leader that punishes you if you aren't carefree...how barbaric, he thought. It was almost like she was forced to become a drone. then he was shot an on the spot question. "Do you hate me, un?" He looked up, eyes meeting with hers. there was an awkward silence as he saw her aura shift from crimson-orange to light pink. He shook his head and spoke up. "No, actually. What made you think that?"
